This April, we held a poetry contest in the Mini in celebration of Poetry Month. Students were tasked with writing a haiku, a traditional Japanese poetic form consisting of three unrhymed lines with a 5 - 7 - 5 syllable structure focusing on nature, moments in time, and vivid imagery. The topic? Spring.
We received a total of 37 entries, and all entries were put into a draw to win a MUJI gift card as well as the opportunity to showcase their poem in the Mini Muse. At Arts Night, the winner was announced: congratulations Elliot!
